New roundabout on the A6 at Fairfield
Working in partnership with Derbyshire County Council, Galliford Try and Homes England, we have recently completed a roundabout along the A6 at Fairfield Common. It is located at the very southern end of the Golf course.
Project Update
The roundabout is now complete and is open to traffic.

Why do we need a roundabout here?
The roundabout will provide access to land at Hogshaw and Waterswallows (Dale Lane) so that new homes can be built. These housing sites, and the proposal to build the roundabout, form part of the housing delivery policies within the adopted High Peak Local Plan.
Development of these housing sites is subject to separate delivery programmes and timescales. We have listened to recent feedback regarding site boundaries at Hogshaw and this is being considered as part of ongoing discussions with the developer. Any forthcoming scheme will have to be compliant with the current Local Plan.
There will be an opportunity for further public consultation on these developments through the statutory planning process once any application is received.
If you have queries about the project or its background then please email the Council's Regeneration Team..
These works are funded by Homes England through their Housing Infrastructure Fund.
