There is a Meteorological Station in Buxton where readings are taken daily, all year. For a small fee, organisations and individuals can receive a monthly report on the data collected.
The Met Office produce a five-day weather forecast for the region, as well as a new mountain weather forecast, which aims to provide hill walkers with information to help keep them safer.
High Peak is part of the Meteorological Resort Scheme. Meteorological readings are shown in many daily papers, such as The Times and The Telegraph.
