The Housing Strategy Team works in partnership with registered social landlords, High Peak Community Housing and the Housing Corporation to enable the development of affordable housing in the Borough. At High Peak, we try to provide more affordable housing in two ways – through our Planning Policy and through the provision of Government grants.
Over the last few years, house prices have risen dramatically and many people are now unable to buy or rent housing on the open market. There are two types of affordable housing available in the borough – rented accommodation and shared ownership.
