Health services in the High Peak are the responsibility of the Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust and NHS Tameside & Glossop. The Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust covers the central and southern areas of the borough, including Buxton, and the Hope Valley. The NHS Tameside & Glossop covers the Glossop area.
High Peak residents mainly use the Tameside Hospital in Ashton-under-Lyne, Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport, or Macclesfield Hospital for most of their hospital services. Hope Valley residents use the Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield and the Chesterfield & North Derbyshire Hospital.
