Janice Timberly, a cardiac nurse from Tameside and Glossop NHS, will be speaking about heart health. She will tell the group how to recognise the signs and symptoms of a heart attack and learn what to do if someone thinks he or she may be suffering from one.

The health group is friendly and informal, and meets on the second Tuesday of each month, with guest speakers, occasional trips and days out.

Andrew Bingham, Executive Councillor for Community and Social Development, said: "If you think that you or members of your family may benefit from attending the Gamesley Health Group, then do pop along on Tuesday 9 September."

There is an attendance charge of £1.20, which will be donated to the group to help subsidise future trips out.

People who are interested in joining the Gamesley Health Group, can contact Lisa Jowitt on 01457 869038.
