The premises licence for the Memorial, Market Street, in Chapel-en-le-Frith has been revoked, following a decision on Thursday, August 28, 2008.
The decision to take away the licence for alcohol and for live and recorded music was made by the Licensing Panel. They considered complaints from residents about severe problems with noise from the premises, and anti-social behaviour and damage to property by some customers.
High Peak Borough Council's Environmental Health Service, Derbyshire Police and Chapel-en-le-Frith Parish Council also gave evidence at the hearing.
Nobody from the Memorial attended the hearing, although they were invited.
After hearing all the evidence, the panel decided that imposing further conditions on the premises licence would not be sufficient to solve the problems and so decided to revoke the licence.
Councillor Linda Leather, Chairperson of the Licensing Panel, said: "It is important that licensed premises within the High Peak are managed effectively and provide a safe and protected environment, where residents remain undisturbed. As a result of the serious management failing, which was identified during the hearing, the committee unanimously decided to revoke the premises licence for the Memorial."
The licence holders have the right to appeal against this decision to the High Peak Magistrates Court within 21 days.
