Consultations
When a decision is likely to affect individuals, businesses or organisations, the council seeks their views before taking the decision.
Where the decision is likely to have an impact on the general public, a special consultation process is held to gather the views of the community. The consultation may take the form of a questionnaire, public meetings, exhibitions, posters or all of these, depending on the issue.
We regularly carry out consultation exercises before taking decisions on council services and strategies - here you can find out information on current consultations.
A direct feedback form is included in each consultation.
Gambling Policy 2025 - 2028
The Gambling Act 2005 requires that High Peak Borough Council prepare and publish a Statement of Principles every three years.
This Statement sets out how the Authority intends to exercise its functions under the Act and the principles it intends to apply. It will also provide clarity for licensing applicants and residents.
The amendments to this Draft Statement are detailed in red in the document.
