2021 - 2031 Parks Strategy

View and comment our proposed parks strategy

High Peak's parks and green spaces are amongst the Borough's best loved places.

We've been working with partner organisations and community groups to draw up a Parks Strategy setting out how we plan to protect, maintain and improve these spaces over the next ten years.

High Peak Parks Strategy

This overall strategy will be used as a framework to prioritise how we manage our parks in the future. It will inform work with our service partners, be used as a reference point to guide discussions and help develop new initiatives in our parks by working together with community and interest groups so that our parks become even better places to visit.

Parks Management Plans

The parks individual management plans will define the current and future management and maintenance of each park for a 10-year period from 2021 to 2031.

The plans aim to provide clear direction for the future management and maintenance of the park, ensuring that the park is conserved and enhanced in its entirety whilst balancing the needs of visitors and residents alike.

Biodiversity - Serpentine Walks

The below Biodiversity Plan outlines the approach to delivering improvements to increase and enhance biodiversity within Serpentine Walks. It demonstrates the Council's commitment to reviewing maintenance regimes to ensure our parks and green spaces are maintained to a high standard, in an affordable and sustainable way and to make improvements to increase and enhance biodiversity and positively affect climate change.
