Major decisions
Major decisions such as the budget and the corporate plan are made by all councillors at Full Council. All councillors are members of Full Council. The Chairman of the meeting is the Mayor of the Borough.
Councillors and the public, who are on the register of electors, may ask questions on any matter in relation to which we have powers or duties. Questions should be given in writing to our Democratic Services team by 5pm five clear working days (four clear working days for councillors) before the Full Council Meeting.

The role of the Executive
Most decisions are taken by the Executive which is responsible for implementing our budget, strategies and policies.

Forward Plan
The Forward Plan is a list of decisions the Council's Executive intends to take during the next three months. The Plan reviewed and published 28 days before each meeting of the Executive.

Other decisions
Other decisions, such as licensing and planning are made by our regulatory committees and some decisions are delegated to officers in certain circumstances agreed by us. Published decisions are available to view within council minutes. Our Select Committees also help to develop council policies and strategies and review decisions made by the council's Executive.
