Report private housing disrepair

We have significant legal powers to make sure that owners of private property maintain their properties to a good standard.

• owners of property carry out repairs on substantial problems, and the closure of properties that are unsuitable for human habitation
• landlords carry out repairs to privately rented property, where the conditions cause problems to occupying tenants.
