Get advice before making an application

If you know you need planning permission

We'll usually give you an opinion as to whether you are likely to get approval for your project and can help you resolve any problems at an early stage.

You can either:

1. Arrange for a telephone call with a planning officer. Appointments are available every Wednesday. You will need to contact us on 0345 129 7777 or e-mail us to make an appointment.
    
2. Complete the pre-application advice form which will be looked at by a planning officer. You will receive a full response within 28 working days, unless otherwise agreed with us.

Pre-application advice is only offered if you already know that you need planning permission for your project.

Charges

We do not charge householders for pre-application advice.

Nutrient Neutrality

If your scheme is in the Buxton area and involves development that generates overnight stays, your scheme may need to demonstrate nutrient neutrality.
