Council leisure centres to operate under 'MyActive' brand

From Tuesday 1 October, the four High Peak leisure centres will be managed and operated by the Borough Council's new health and wellbeing company Alliance Leisure Limited.

The new company will run the centres in the High Peak, and the three in neighbouring Staffordshire Moorlands, for the Council and its Alliance partner Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.

All centres will operate under the new MyActive brand - and the Council is now pleased to share what that branding looks like.

Councillor Damien Greenhalgh, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member of Regeneration, Tourism and Leisure, said: "This is the start of an exciting new chapter for our leisure centres which will ensure they play an even more important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of all our residents.

"We are working hard to make the transition across to MyActive as smooth as possible, with prices, classes and booking features staying the same or similar to what customers experience currently.

"Whilst the name above the door will change, the same friendly staff, wearing newly branded uniform, look forward to welcoming all our customers and working with you to deliver local the services that you deserve."

To help you continue to access services on the move, a new MyActive website and mobile app is being developed, and these will be available to use and download very soon.

Councillor Greenhalgh added: "Looking to the future, we have some exciting improvements planned for our services and facilities and we're looking forward to sharing those plans in due course."

To allow for the transition from the previous operator, leisure centres will close a little earlier than usual at 6pm on Monday 30 September but will re-open as normal the following day.
