MyActive Glossop Swim car park to close for resurfacing

Work to resurface the car park and improve the footpaths at MyActive Glossop Swim is set to start next week.

The car park will be resurfaced and relined and the pathways around the building will be improved making it safer and easier for everyone to access the building.

The work is due to start on Monday 24 February. The car works are expected to take up to two weeks, likely to be less, and the work to the paths up to four weeks from the same date.

Councillor Damien Greenhalgh, Deputy Leader and Executive Councillor for Regeneration, Tourism and Leisure, said: "These improvements to the car park and footpaths are necessary and will make access to the swimming pool smoother and easier for everyone.

"We realise that this is likely to cause a little bit of short-term inconvenience and would ask people who have to travel by car whilst the works are taking place to please park considerately. I'd thank people in advance for their patience whilst we complete these essential works."
