Funding between £1,000-£18,000 is available for further training and skills development for crafts people of all ages who live and work permanently in the UK.
The grant will fund further study, training and practical experience for craftsmen and women in over 130 different crafts (modern and traditional) so that they can improve their craft and trade skills. They are particularly keen to receive applications from those with skills in wood, metal and in the rural crafts.
QEST Apprenticeships support
As well as funding for self employed crafts people to develop their own skills, the Trust also can award funding between £1,000 and £18,000 to support traditional apprenticeships - whereby an apprentice can learn from master crafts person or train in small craft businesses. Funding can part fund salaries; training costs and/or materials.
