Support available to help you grow your 'green' business or reduce carbon emissions and energy overheads
The principle business support programme available in High Peak is the D2N2 Growth Hub. This offers a range of online toolkits, telephone and face-to-face advice to help entrepreneurs develop business ideas or support existing businesses to grow or address challenges.

Specific programmes to help you improve environmental performance or grow your green products and services
The Green entrepreneurs fund is a £2 million grant fund for businesses interested in developing and investing in green energy and carbon reduction schemes open to small and medium sized businesses based in Derbyshire with up to 250 staff and micro-business with up to 10 staff. Grants of £10,000 to £20,000 for new and existing businesses with game changing proposals in alternative energy, clean fuel and carbon reduction. £500,000 will be made available through this fund.
The Low Carbon Business Network is a project delivered by the University of Derby to support SMEs who supply low carbon environmental goods and services.
The Institute for Innovation in Sustainable Engineering offer bespoke fully funded research and development technical support consultancy in low carbon production, process and project design, new product development and prototyping.
The Clean Growth Fund provides funding for companies developing green technology across a wide range of sectors, including transport, waste and building energy efficiency.
The National Farmer Union provides Energy Advice for Farmers to help you find best energy deals, technical advice on renewables and efficiency guidance. They also have a buying group with discounts for members. Contact info@nfu.co.uk
The Clean Air day campaign has produced a range of free resources for workplaces and community groups relevant to improving air quality.
The Workplace Charging Scheme (ECS) for businesses to purchase and install new workplace charging stations to allow companies to move towards electric fleets or support workforce with electric vehicles.
The Council now offers a Business waste recycling service covering glass, plastic, cartons, food tints, aerosols, paper and cardboard. This is a pay-for service with a range of container sizes on offer.
