Survey puts Council services in the spotlight

Published on 13 September 2023

High Peak Borough Council is committed to improving public services and the quality of life for everyone who lives here.

Understanding the priorities of its communities, and how residents' feel about issues such as community safety, local decision making, value for money and other public services, is key to making services better.

As part of the process of establishing a new Borough plan following the local elections, the Council has created a satisfaction survey to help seek the views of local people and measure how well residents' feel it is performing.

Leader of the Council, Councillor Anthony Mckeown, said: "The last few years have seen a range of challenges and changes for Council services and we want to ensure that, as we set out our priorities for the next few years, our services meet the needs of our residents' and communities so we must ask people how we're doing.

"That's why we're asking people to complete this survey and tell us their priorities for their local area. We'll use this information to improve and re-focus our services. By completing the survey you'll make a real difference in how our services work where you live.

"You can complete it either on your own device or by visiting Council receptions to use the devices there to complete it online. Paper copies are also available at Buxton Town Hall and the Municipal Buildings in Glossop.

"The more people that fill it in, the better targeted our services will be to local needs and priorities so please spend a few minutes to share your views with us - we do appreciate it."

You can find out more, and complete the survey, on our website. Collection boxes for completed paper surveys are provided at Buxton Town Hall and Glossop's Municipal Buildings.

The deadline for responses is Thursday 5 October.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact the Council on 01298 28400 or email consultation@highpeak.gov.uk
