Voting in Person

Your name must appear on the electoral register for you to vote in an election or referendum. To vote in this election you needed to be registered by 18 June 2024.

The location of your poll station can be found on your poll card or by visiting the Electoral Commission website and entering your postcode.

Voter photo ID at a polling station

On election day you will need to show one form of photographic ID to staff at the polling station and it needs to be the original version. Staff in the poll stations will not accept a scan, image or photocopy.

You cannot use a picture of the document on your phone, it must be the original document. If you have a form of accepted photo ID which is out of date, you can still use it if it still looks like you.

The last day to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate was 5pm on Wednesday 26 June 2024.

Your completed application for a postal vote must have been received by 5pm on Wednesday 19 June 2024.

Apply to vote by proxy

Your completed application for a proxy vote in this election must have been received or made online by 5pm on Wednesday 26 June 2024.
