Assisted collection

We can help you put out and bring in your bins if you

  • have a permanent disability, illness or condition making you physically unable to present your bins and bags for collection e.g. dementia, chest or heart conditions.
  • have a temporary disability, illness or condition making you physically unable to present your bins and bags for collection e.g. recovering from surgery or during the last three months of a pregnancy.
  • are physically incapable of putting out your bins.

Your GP may need to confirm your circumstances.

Help will only be provided if there is no one else living with you who is over 16 and able to put the bins out.

Please contact us if your circumstances change and you no longer need this service.

Assisted collection review

We know our assisted collection service is important to people who need it.  We want to make sure we can continue to provide the service efficiently but we also know circumstances change over time.  To check our records are up to date earlier this year we asked everyone we help to complete a renewal form to confirm the service is still needed.

If you had a letter from us but have not completed a renewal form to update us please fill in the form to make sure we continue to provide this service for you.

Please contact us if your circumstances change and you no longer need this service.
